March 29, 2010 Communities thrive @ your library: Celebrate National Library Week at the Warren County Library, April 11-17(Belvidere, NJ) – It’s National Library Week: a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide - and the perfect time to discover how communities thrive @ your library. “Libraries are at the heart of every community and our library helps our community thrive,” says Library Director, Maureen Wilkinson. “At our library, people of all backgrounds come together for community meetings, lectures and programs, to do research with the assistance of a trained professional, to get help finding a job or to find homework help.” We offer databases such as Global Road Warrior, Corfacts NJ Business Directory, Heritage Quest, Magills Medical Guide, Gale Legal Forms, Price It! Antiques and Collectibles, newspapers and magazine articles and more. The library also offers music CD’s, Video games, DVD’s and Blu-ray discs, in addition to its extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books. To celebrate National Library Week, the library is kicking off a year-round food drive to benefit Warren County food pantries. Help your community thrive by donating non-perishable food items to our food drive. Possible items to donate include peanut butter, tuna fish, nutritious cereals, canned soup, and canned fruits and vegetables. There is a collection box at each library location. For information on programming and directions to our four locations, visit the Warren County Library website at www.warrenlib.org or call 908-475-6321. |
